“The Greater Meaning of Water” is a film I wrote with Olympian Sky Christopherson. Sky, the projects Director, had a wonderful idea for a freediving film and when he put out the call for a screenwriter to help him bring the idea to the page, I sent him a sample of my work.
The film has been screening at festivals and has been won accolades. It’s now available on DVD and Blu-Ray.
The film is beautiful – if I do so say so myself…
THE GREATER MEANING OF WATER
Freediver Max Avery (Justin Flint Williford) journeys to his inner-most depths as he pursues competitive freediving as relief from a chronic lung disease. Yet his passion for the extreme sport is widening a rift between him and his father (Mark Brunetti), a physician, who fears his son’s risky descents will cost him his life. As Max trains for a world record attempt, he must convince his father that the experience of freediving is his key to finding peace.
